Professor Watanabe, an acclaimed expert owner of “Miura Cybernetics” has finally managed to find a cure that consists in replacing some part of the brain and of the body with cybernetic implants, making the subject independent of water and oxygen and therefore immune.
The new beings are called the Mnemonix.
But the replacement procedure is extremely expensive and only a few can take advantage of it.
Meanwhile, earth’s political and military forces have signed the "Tacit Agreement" a treaty that prevents new hostilities for the next 50 years.
Due to the virus the waters have now become irreparably polluted.
The costs and the time for purification are unsustainable. Everything that is liquid has now become a luxury for the few.
